Percent (%) – recommended The radius is calculated relative to the image size. 10% means that on both small and large images, the rounding will appear proportionally the same.

Can I round the corners of an animated GIF? Currently, no – GIF animations are unfortunately not supported. The tool only processes static images (JPG, PNG, WebP). If you upload an animated GIF, only the first frame will be processed. To preserve animation, you would need a specialized GIF editing tool.
How to create a perfectly circular profile photo? Follow these steps:
1. Crop the photo to a square (1:1 ratio) – you can use our "Image Cropper" tool

When using PNG (lossless compression) or JPG/WebP with 90-100% quality, the process is practically lossless. Rounding is created using Canvas API clipping – original pixels within the rounded area remain untouched. The only change is at the corners, where a background is added (transparent/white/black/custom).
Does the tool work offline without an internet connection? Yes! After the first page load, the tool is saved to your browser's cache (thanks to the service worker). How to round corners according to precise CSS values (e.g., border-radius: 16px)? If you are working with a design system and need precisely 16px rounding (the same as CSS border-radius: 16px), proceed as follows: 1) Switch units from "Percent" to "Pixels". 2) Set the sliders to the value 16. 3) Make sure the corners are linked (🔗) for uniform rounding. The resulting file will have exactly a 16px radius, consistent with your CSS design.
